The live-action, comedy series revolves around Chyna Parks, an 11-year-old musical prodigy who attends a high school as part of the prestigious A.N.T. (Advanced Natural Talents) program. She, along with her fellow A.N.T.s, Olive Doyle and Fletcher Quimby, must find their place and make the most of their high school experience.

Jeffery stars as Chyna’s mischievous older brother who sometimes overcompensates in order to escape his sister’s shadow.

Jeffery, 17, who moved with his family to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue his music and acting career, was a student at Bevis Elementary School. A talented rapper who also goes by Lil’ C-Note, he has been performing since he was 8, and appeared at a number of local events and community functions in Cincinnati before the family moved west.

His mom, Serita Jeffrey, says she is excited for her son’s opportunity, and she hopes his old friends tune in to see the show as it premieres tonight at 8:30 p.m. on the Disney Channel.

Carlon Jeffery’s television credits include a recurring role on “Heroes,” and guest roles on “Bones” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Born July 10, 1993, in Houston, Texas, Jeffery has a twin sister, Carla. His biography says he spends his free time working on his music, recording in the studio and performing at Los Angeles venues.

Premieres June 17th at 8:30pm on the Disney Channel.
