Ciara Bravo’s first introduction to the business was when she attended the Mike Beaty Model & Talent Expo in April 2007 with the group from Wings Model Management. At Expo, she was winner of 2 Person Scene 8-12, Photography, and First Runner Up in Runway.

Jake Lang, owner of Wings discovered at the ripe age of 9. Lang said that Ciara had “a natural way about her” and she seemed to grasp the idea of acting very quickly.

A manager at Management 101 explained, “The first time I saw Ciara on stage at Expo, I knew she was a star. She’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to Expo,” he continued, “because I know that agents like Wings Model Management consistently bring great talent to the event.

With Wing’s help, Ciara booked her first commercial for Newport Aquarium’s Frog Exhibit in Cincinnati, Ohio. She then went onto book Natasha Bedingfield’s music video, but got her big break while at home in November of ’09. Management 101 decided they wanted to audition her for a new show called Big Time Rush. Since Ciara couldn’t go back to L.A. again the producers set up a video chat so they could get to know her a little bit better. They gave her notes and asked to re-tape her audition. Twenty-four hours later, they were in L.A. shooting the series! On Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush, Ciara co-stars as Katie, Kendall’s younger and sarcastic sister who finds her life turned upside down when her big brother’s dream forces the family to move to Los Angeles.

Like her character, Bravo understands what it feels like to move halfway across the country from friends and family. Since joining the series, she has been splitting her time between Northern Kentucky and Southern California. She leaves behind her dad, older sister Rikkel, and younger brother Jaxon- plus the family cat, Smokey Moses and Sheba, the dog. “Fortunately,” Ciara says, “I have been so busy that it’s hard to get homesick.”

Now that she has booked her first regular role on a television series, Bravo is living her dream. “I like the atmosphere on the set, and I feel special when I walk around the stage.”

There truly is “a natural way about her,” and that special something about her will surely make all her dreams come true!
