Wings to the World: The Inspirational Journey of Lance Alexander
Some stories begin with a spark—and with Lance Alexander, that spark was unforgettable.
It was the spring of 2017 when Lance first walked into our office. He was young, confident, and full of light. “I want to book modeling jobs,” he said with a smile. And before I could even respond, he was already giving me a full runway walk right there in the hallway. I remember smiling, knowing I had just met someone truly special.
Shortly after that, Lance joined our acting classes at Wings Model Management Cincinnati. He began attending regularly, and we started representing him. There was something magnetic about him. He had a natural charm, a comedic spark, and a smile that made everyone else smile. We loved having him in our classes and later taking him to Expo in Dallas Texas. Whether it was a silly improv or just Lance being Lance—he made people feel something.
But behind that talent was an incredible foundation—his mother, Angela. Always there. Always prepared. Always giving 100% to make sure Lance had what he needed. Not just to him, but to all the kids around her. She showed every parent in the room what unconditional love, dedication, and honesty about the journey into this business looks like. We are endlessly grateful.
Lance’s journey wasn’t easy. Being from Ohio and making the leap to Hollywood takes more than talent—it takes heart, grit, and faith. He and his family made sacrifices to pursue a dream that most would never dare to chase. And they did it with courage.
Working in L.A. and auditioning at that level is no easy feat—it’s incredibly competitive—but Lance kept showing up with the same smile, energy, and passion that we first saw in our studio.
He began traveling back and forth to L.A., booking roles on Raven’s Home and Teachers, and in 2018, as Lance grew, so did his opportunities. In 2019, he landed the role of Elvis in the hit Netflix series Family Reunion. He became a familiar face to millions—but he never forgot where he started.
Beyond his professional and personal achievements, Lance has remained deeply involved in charitable endeavors.
He has collaborated with organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, consistently striving to make a positive impact in the community. Recently Lance was a forty under forty honoree for his health and Wellness Program.
Lance faced personal challenges, particularly with his weight and mental health. During the 2020 pandemic, he confronted these issues head-on, embarking on a transformative journey that led to a weight loss of nearly 70 pounds. This experience inspired him to write From Junk to Hunk, a book detailing his path to better health by eliminating negative influences and adopting a positive mindset.
“It wasn’t about getting a six-pack. It was about finding my happiness again.”
Whether he’s acting, writing, or mentoring, his purpose remains the same: to help people believe in themselves.
It’s important to acknowledge the people who stay the course—who push through the doubt, the setbacks, and the long stretches of uncertainty. Lance, Angela, and his father Ernest have done just that. Their loyalty, discipline, and belief in the bigger picture is something I deeply respect.
We couldn’t be prouder of him.
The road hasn’t been easy for any of us, and this business rarely offers guarantees. But what makes us proudest is that through all the milestones, Lance has remained kind, grounded, and committed to lifting others.
From where I stand—as an agent and scout, someone who meets talent at the very beginning of their journey every day—my hope is always the same:
To help them enjoy the process, stay grounded, believe in themselves, and stay in school. Surround yourself with people who lift you and show up for you. And always remember: education and a backup plan matter. This industry moves fast, and there’s always someone ready to step in if you’re not.
When the right people stay committed for the right reasons, it’s powerful. I’m proud to be a part of helping young actors not only chase their dreams but also learn what it truly takes to sustain them.
